section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (Cl of 1951), read with Sub-rule
(1), and the first proviso to sub-rule (2), of the rule 4 of the India Administrative
Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, tile Cetifial Government, in consultation with the
Government of ‘Wesl Bengal’ hereby makes the fullnwinp regulations further In
amend the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of cadre Strength) Re¬
gulations, 1955, namely - -

1 (1) These regulations mnv be called the Indian Administrative Service (Fixa¬
tion of Cadre Strength) Seventeenth Amendment Regulations, 1977

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette N

2 In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation ol Cadre
